Select a minor league team and research one year of its existence between 1950 and 1970.

Focusing on primary documents (local newspapers, state and/or national magazines, autobiographies, etc.), write a 1000 – 1500 word (double spaced, 12 pt. Times font) research paper discussing how that team was affected by its times and reflected its time. Focus on promotions and personnel.

Due Date: Before or at the beginning of class, Thursday, March 3rd 5 pm

Format Requirements: 1000 – 1500 words. NOTE: 1000 – 1500 words refers to the text; does not
include title page and footnotes.
Double spaced on 8.5 X 11 inch white paper. NOTE: Electronic copies not
accepted; hard copies only.
One inch margins. NOTE: Many word processing programs have default
margins of 1.25 inches. Check your settings and adjust your margins. Failure to do so may result in your grade being lowered.
12 pt. type.
Times font.
Order of pages in final document: 1. Title page; 2. Body of the paper (pages 1 –
n).
Title page must include the following: paper’s title, your name, date due, and the
course (HIST 3368Q.251).

Sources must be cited in footnotes. Style manual: Turabian
